Potential analysis
In this stage of the project we carry out a detailed analysis of the client on TCO a basis (total cost of ownership) and derive the potential for optimising. Here supplier structures, the basis of placing orders, the procedures used, consumption parameters and deadline schedules as well as hitherto used buying markets are examined. In the result we show the achievable savings potential for each step in the process and present a concept for implementation. The realizable and realistic savings potential is ascertained on the basis of our years of market experience, our own database and calculation software. This means that at this stage we do not interview the market. Interviewing the market is not done until the implementation phase in agreement with the client.
Controlling of total profit and loss effectiveness
At agreed intervals it is checked as to how far the savings calculated on concluding the project have become total profit and loss effective in the following months. In the course of this analysis it becomes apparent whether a “fine adjustment” of the buying process is necessary.

Above and beyond the training on the job in the context of the project work, MSM Baaima Consulting GmbH offers staff responsible for buying at all levels individual courses and workshops. Experienced staff at our training centre in Hamburg conducts these.
